On 25 June 2021, the Working Group transmitted, jointly with other special procedure mechanisms, an allegation letter concerning the ongoing trial of Syrian human rights defender Abdulrahman Muhammad Al-Nahhas.47 149. On 18 August 2021, the Government provided a reply to the joint allegation letter sent on 25 June 2021. That communication will be submitted for the consideration of the Working Group as soon as its translation has been received. Uruguay Application of the six-month rule 150. The Government provided information, on the basis of which the Working Group decided to apply the six-month rule to one case. Information from the Government 151. On 17 August 2021, the Government transmitted information concerning 19 cases, but the information was considered insufficient to clarify the cases. Uzbekistan Application of the six-month rule 152. The Government provided information, on the basis of which the Working Group decided to apply the six-month rule to two cases, concerning Alisher Haydarov and Rahmiddin Saparov. Information from the Government 153. Based on information provided by the Government of Turkey on 30 August 2021, the Working Group decided to register the case of Gurbuz Sevilay under the records of Turkey. The case remains outstanding. Venezuela (Bolivarian Republic of) Urgent procedure 154. Under its urgent procedure, the Working Group transmitted a case to the Government concerning Freddy Alejandro Guevara Cortes, who was allegedly detained on 12 July 2021 in Caracas by agents presumed to be officials of the General Directorate of Military CounterIntelligence (DGCIM) or the Bolivarian National Intelligence Service.
