The victim was arrested on February 13, 2014, based on an arrest warrant in case No. 180 of 2014, the first administration in Aswan, known as the “General Hospital Incidents” case, and he was imprisoned pending investigations.

Khaled obtained a release, then he was sentenced on November 30, 2015 to life imprisonment in absentia, and he was arrested on April 7, 2016 to implement the sentence.

The victim had been arrested from his home again on April 17, 2015 and was released on April 22, 2015, as he had previously been arrested on October 11, 2013 and released on December 12, 2013 pending cases on political accusations.
