The victim was arrested while leaving his office in Sharkia Governorate, on October 26, 2021, and was kidnapped by a “microbus” vehicle belonging to the security services. He was presented to the Supreme State Security Prosecution, and investigated in case No. 2175 of 2021, Supreme State Security, and transferred to Tora Investigation Prison, and from there to Scorpion Prison, before being transferred to Badr Center for Correction and Rehabilitation in the second half of last year, and he is prohibited from of visits, and continues in pretrial detention until now.
During the renewal of the victim’s detention, he appeared handcuffed with shackles, while he was being presented to the judge of the counseling room, held at the Badr Correctional and Rehabilitation Center, to consider the order to renew his detention pending case No. 2175 of 2021, Supreme State Security.
The victim was assaulted during his interrogation via video conference before the court, which in turn did not intervene and did not object to this serious violation of the law.
On September 25, 2023, the Cairo Criminal Court, sitting in the consultation room, considered the order to imprison the victim in Case No. 2175 of 2021, Supreme State Security, and decided to imprison him for 45 days.
