States should therefore enhance legislative, administrative, social and educational measures to prevent children from becoming victims of enforced disappearance.24 Iran (Islamic Republic of) Standard procedure 64. Under its standard procedure, the Working Group transmitted four cases to the Government concerning: (a) Ahmad Raouf Basharidoust, a national of the Islamic Republic of Iran and a student, who was allegedly arrested in August 1988 by members of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (Pasdaran) and detained in Oroumieh prison, in the north-west of the country. He was last seen in Oroumieh prison in the first half of 1988. His whereabouts are unknown; (b) Amir Mehran Bigham, a national of the Islamic Republic of Iran and a student, who was allegedly arrested on 20 June 1981 at Kajar Place, Alborz Province, by members of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (Pasdaran) and was then imprisoned in an unknown location; (c) Zahra Bijanyar, a national of the Islamic Republic of Iran and an employee, who was allegedly arrested in September 1980 by members of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (Pasdaran) and sentenced to 10 years in prison. She was allegedly last seen in September 1988 in Evin prison; (d) Yones Ghodrati, a national of the Islamic Republic of Iran and a student, who was allegedly arrested on 14 May 1985 in Tehran by members of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (Pasdaran) and taken to an unknown location. Application of the six-month rule 65. The Government provided information, on the basis of which the Working Group decided to apply the six-month rule to one case, concerning Mohammad Adwaiy. Information from the Government 66. On 26 July 2021, the Government transmitted information concerning one case, but the information was considered insufficient to clarify the case. Clarification based on information from sources 67. On the basis of information provided by sources, the Working Group decided to clarify the case of Manouchehr Bakhtiyari, who is reportedly in detention. Joint urgent appeals 68. On 16 August 2021, the Working Group transmitted, jointly with other special procedure mechanisms, an urgent appeal concerning the enforced disappearances of Hamidulah Arbabi and Falah Heidari, members of the Baloch and Arab minorities respectively.25 69.
