Yann Bourdon is a French history Student, who went on a tourist visit to Egypt. He arrived in Sharm El-Sheikh on the morning of July 25, 2021, to begin his journey to discover the historical monuments, and spent time inspecting Sharm El-Sheikh. He left Sharm el-Sheikh and went to the city of Suez when he met a police officer, off-duty who came to talk to him, saying that he was coming back from his holidays and that he could drop him wherever, and Yann agreed. The police officer dropped Yann to a metro station in the suburbs of Cairo city, Cairo Governorate and before leaving he invited Yann for Dinner the next day (July 28, 2021) and Yann agreed. Since August 4, 2021, communication between Yann and his family has been cut off. On August 9th, 2022, Yann appeared to the French consulate. He was sent back to France the next day, by the State security forces who booked the flight ticket for him, and wishes to remain silent about his ordeal.
