He was arrested at the beginning of February 2019 from the university city of the Islamic University of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and was held in an unknown location until he was deported to Egypt at the beginning of March to be forcibly disappeared until September. He was presented pending case No. 1175 of 2018 to limit the security of his country and obtained a release but it was not implemented. He was rotated more than three times on different cases until he obtained a one-year verdict with a suspended sentence pending case No. 6236 of 2021, limiting the Al-Waili misdemeanour on September 30, 2021, but it was not implemented. He was put again on Case No.742 for the year 2022 administrative review in Nasr City and obtained a release in it in mid-May 2022, but it was rotated again on Case 5903 for the year 2022 limited to misdemeanors of Al Zawyah. He is still being held in pretrial detention at the second Nasr City Police Department.
