The victim was arrested on September 23, 2019 and investigated in case No. 1356 of 2019, and it was decided to release him on December 22, 2022.

The victim was detained in a new case bearing No. 2207 of 2021, a Supreme State Security Investigation, and he faces charges of publishing false news and data, and joining a terrorist group with knowledge and promoting its purposes.

During his detention, Siddiq was subjected to many violations, the most notable of which was the beating he was subjected to in Badr Prison after he refused to leave for one of the sessions and was transferred for discipline along with the activists Muhammad Al-Baqir and Ahmed Douma at that time.
