He was arrested on 17/11/2017 from Abbasiya Square in Cairo Governorate. He was forcibly disappeared for 37 days until he appeared before the State Security Prosecution in the Fifth Settlement on December 24, 2017. It is reported that he was tortured psychologically and physically during the period of disappearance. It is a subject on Case No. 160 of 2018, State Security Survey. He was deported to Al-Aqrab prison and is prohibited from visiting. He suffers from poor conditions of detention and deliberate medical neglect. He was sentenced to 10 years in prison and the appeal was rejected
