He was arrested on 31/01/2015 and forcibly disappeared for 5 days inside Mansoura First Police Station. During that period, he was subjected to psychological and physical torture and electrocuted in different parts of his body. He was accused of belonging to a terrorist organization and assaulting public property in case No. 1377 of 2015. He was sentenced on 15-11-2016 to 15 years in military prison by the Military Court in Al-Mansoura. He is now serving his sentence in Wadi El-Natrun 430 prison.
