The victim was arrested on April 14, 2020, following the incident in Al-Amiriyah area, which witnessed an exchange of fire between security forces and terrorist elements, especially since Karim lives in the same area that witnessed the incident.

The victim appeared several months after his arrest in the Supreme State Security Prosecution, which investigated him in Case No. 569 of 2020 and decided to detain him for 15 days as a precaution since then, and he is renewed periodically.

The victim faces charges of broadcasting, publishing and disseminating false news and data, misusing a means of social media “Facebook”, and knowingly participating in a terrorist group and promoting its purposes.
