The deterioration of the health of Ali Abbas, a lawyer who was forcibly disappeared since 19-12-2016, and was subjected to torture at the National Security headquarters in Shebin El-Koum. It is reported that he suffers from high blood pressure, diabetes, and cirrhosis, and there were reports of his transfer to intensive care in Shebin El-Kom Hospital, due to a severe deterioration in his health condition.
He obtained a release ruling in February 2019, but it was not implemented, and he was later acquitted from all charges in all cases in 2022, and despite that he is not released yet.
