The journalist, Safaa Al-Korbiji, was arrested at dawn on April 21, 2022, from her home in Al-Mokattam neighborhood, by an armed security force that came to her residence in Al-Mokattam, broke the door of the apartment in two, searched the apartment, and cut the Wi-Fi router wire. Until it was revealed that she was presented to the Public Prosecution Office, on Thursday, April 24, pending Case 441 of 2022. The Public Prosecution charged Al-Korbiji with joining a banned group and promoting its ideas, and broadcasting false news and statements, before she was transferred to Al-Qanater Prison.
