The victim was arrested on 3/22/2016 from the street by a National Security force and was forcibly disappeared at the National Security headquarters in Zagazig until 4/26/2016. He then appeared in case No. 24597 Zagazig Criminal Record for the year 2016, in which he was accused of joining a terrorist group.

The victim was later sentenced, and after the expiry of the period, he was not released and was forcibly disappeared for the second time from 5/2020 to 6/12/2020 at the Zagazig Security Forces headquarters. He then appeared in case No. 2117 Zagazig Criminal Record for the year 2020 and obtained a release order from the case on 5/2020. He was not released and was transferred to a new case and imprisoned for two years. After that, he obtained a release order again.

The victim was not released either and was transferred to a new case for which he is currently being held in pretrial detention at Zagazig Police Station. He complains of poor detention conditions, as he suffers from overcrowding, poor ventilation, and being prevented from exercising. He suffers from health problems and does not receive appropriate medical care.
