The victim was arrested at dawn on October 21, 2023, from his home, after participating in demonstrations in support of Palestine in Tahrir Square in central Cairo, in addition to being a member of the electoral campaign office and the Youth Secretary in the campaign of former presidential candidate Ahmed Tantawi.
Bishoy was subjected to enforced disappearance until he was presented to the Supreme State Security Prosecution on Thursday, October 26, 2023, pending Case No. 2463 of 2023, Supreme State Security Prosecution.
