He was arrested on 26-07-2018 and subjected to enforced disappearance for a period of 3 months. He was transferred from the General Intelligence in Cairo to the National Security in Abis, where he was subjected to psychological and physical torture and electrocuted in various parts of his body. He appeared in front of the Public Prosecution in case No. 1175 of 2018, the Supreme State Security Prosecution. He was accused of joining a banned group. It is reported that he was arrested before on 16/8/2013 and remained in detention for 7 months and was released. It is reported that he suffers from heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, and sensitivity in the chest. He was sentenced to life imprisonment in Case No. 1386 of 2020 Total East Cairo on December 9, 2021.
