The victim, 29 years old, was arrested after his family's home was raided on May 4, 2018, in the Imbaba district of Giza Governorate. They searched the house and terrorized the family. When his father attempted to stop them, they arrested him and his brother, Mohamed, and for weeks, they were all disappeared. The father and brother reappeared after 21 days of enforced disappearance, during which they were subjected to physical and psychological abuse.

To this day, the victim remains forcibly disappeared. His family has not been able to locate him, and he has not been brought before any investigation authority.
