The victim (56 years old), a member of the Defense Committee for Detainees in Sharqia, was arrested on May 18, 2021, on his way home with his wife. The victim was forcibly disappeared and tortured using various means inside the National Security branch in Zagazig for more than 30 hours, before being presented to the Supreme State Security Prosecution in the Fifth Settlement on May 20, which decided to detain him in pretrial detention for 15 days, on charges of belonging to a terrorist group and financing its activities.
