He was arrested from home on 02-08-2015 and subjected to enforced disappearance for 63 days, during which he suffered from various forms of psychological and physical torture. He appeared in case No. 3331 of 2015 criminal court in Zagazig and was sentenced to three years. But he was forcibly disappeared again in December 2018, and he appeared after a while and was rotated pending another case in which he was accused of joining a terrorist group. He was placed on a third case on charges of protesting and joining a banned group. He is now in pretrial detention at the Central Security Forces headquarters in Zagazig.
