The victim was arrested on April 12, 2015 on his way to his family’s home in the city of Kafr El Dawar in Beheira Governorate, after leaving the student city at Suez Canal University to spend Sham El Nessim with his family.

Since that day, the victim has been subjected to enforced disappearance without being brought before any investigating body. His family filed a report about his disappearance on April 14, 2015, bearing No. 2209 of 2015. They also submitted a report to the Egyptian Public Prosecutor, and another to the Minister of Interior, urging them to release him or disclose his place of detention. .
