He was arrested on 25/11/2016 from his home and subjected to enforced disappearance and psychological and physical torture until he appeared on 16/01/2017 at the State Security Prosecution and confessed to things he did not do under threat, after which he was transferred to Istiqbal Tora Prison and held in solitary confinement for a while and suffered from poor conditions Deliberate detention and medical negligence. On 08/11/2018 he was sentenced to twenty-five years, after which he was deported to Minya prison on 27/03/2019 and received different types of torture there. He is now under enforced disappearance and no one knows where he is being held
