He was arrested from his home on 25/02/2017 and subjected to enforced disappearance for more than a year until he appeared on 15/03/2018 in connection with Case No. 316 of 2017, Supreme State Security, and he was released 4 times on the same case, the last of them was on 12/4/2018, but The release was not performed. He is also accused in case No. 10234 of 2013, a second misdemeanour, Mansoura. He was sentenced to 15 years in prison, but the sentence was overturned and he was acquitted on September 15, 2018, but the decision was not implemented and he was transferred again to Istiqbal Tora Prison. It is reported that he suffers from poor conditions of detention, denial of visits, and suffers from medical negligence, as he has a kidney problem.
