The victim was arrested as a minor from his home in the Hahia Center in Sharkia Governorate on August 9, 2017. He was taken to an unknown destination and subjected to a period of enforced disappearance.

The victim was investigated after he was forcibly disappeared pending a case, and the prosecution charged him with joining a group established in violation of the law, and possessing publications, until he was sentenced by the Hahia Juvenile Court on November 26, 2017, to 10 years in prison.
