He was arrested on 30-08-2016. He was subjected to enforced disappearance for 4 months. He appeared at the Supreme State Security Prosecution in connection with Case No. 64 of 2016 Military Report and was transferred to Tora High Security Prison. He was subjected to solitary confinement several times to protest the ban on visiting. He was acquitted, but he was rotated to another case in which he was sentenced to one year in prison, and after serving his sentence, he was rotated again on Case No. 2015 for the year 2021, limiting the security of his country after a three month enforced disappearance at the National Security in Sohag. He is still being held in pretrial detention in the new Badr prison
