The victim, a 61-year-old housewife, was summoned for investigation at the National Security headquarters on the 10th of Ramadan in Sharkia Governorate on October 8, 2022. Since that date, she has been in pretrial detention pending Case No. 1691 of 2022, Supreme State Security Issue.

The victim’s family says that they received a phone call from an employee of the National Security Investigations in the Tenth of Ramadan City on Wednesday, October 5, 2022, asking her to come in order to ask her several questions, with a promise to return to her home directly. Indeed, she went without knowing the reason for the summons, and after several hours had passed, they asked her to leave for her home, assuring that they would contact her at a later time.

On Saturday, October 8, 2022, the victim received another call and a request to come to the National Security headquarters in the Tenth of Ramadan City to ask her again, and she actually went to them of her own free will. But this time, she did not return to her home, and then forcibly disappeared for more than a week until, on October 15, 2022, she was investigated by the Supreme State Security Prosecution.
