The victim was arrested on October 20, 2023, after participating in a solidarity stand with the people of Gaza in the vicinity of the Al-Azhar Mosque in Cairo.

The victim suffers from leukemia, weakness in the hamstring muscle, and a general weakness in the immune system. In November 2023, he fell into a coma and was transferred to the prison hospital. Despite this, his imprisonment continued without evidence of conviction.

The victim is imprisoned in case No. 2468 of 2023, on charges related to joining a terrorist group, incitement to demonstrate through the use of social media, committing a terrorist act, intentionally vandalizing public and private property, and damaging movable and immovable property.
