The victim was arrested on February 10, 2026, at his home and taken to a National Security headquarters in Alexandria Governorate, where he was interrogated about a campaign he launched on Facebook called "Arrest the Northern Officer." In this campaign, he made accusations against several officers at the Dekheila Police Station, alleging their involvement in bribery and the fabrication of cases against citizens.

He was also interrogated before the Supreme State Security Prosecution in connection with Case No. 764 of 2026, Supreme State Security, and was ordered detained for 15 days.
