- Summary
He was arrested from his private office on 18-12-2016. He was subjected to enforced disappearance for a month,and he suffered psychological,physical torture and electric shocks and other forms of torture to confess to charges he did not commit. He appeared infront of Shebin El-Koum Public Prosecution and was accused of joining the Muslim Brotherhood and financing it. He was then transferred to Shebin El-Kom General Prison, where he was held in solitary confinement, and from there to Wadi El-Natrun prison. He suffers from poor conditions of detention and deliberate medical neglect, as he suffers from diabetes, high blood pressure, prostate enlargement, and blood thinners. He was sentenced to 7 years in case 56 of 2016 felonies, Shebin al-Koum, and 3 years in case 184 of 2017 felonies of Shebin al-Koum.
