The victim was arrested while he was a third-year high school student on June 14, 2015 in front of his examination committee in Abu Kabir. He was taken to an unknown destination, then he was brought to the Public Prosecution office and he was detained pending investigations.

On May 22, 2017, he was sentenced to 10 years in prison in presence in Case No. 1747 of 2015 in North Zagazig. After the appeal, the sentence was commuted, the sentence was executed, and he was released.
