The victim was arrested on March 3, 2019 in Beni Suef Governorate and was taken to an unknown destination, where all means of communication with him were cut off and he has not been presented to any investigating authorities yet.

The victim's family submitted reports to the Attorney General and Attorney General in Beni Suef, and filed a lawsuit before the administrative judiciary against the Egyptian Minister of Interior in order to reveal the fate of the missing student.

The victim is 29 years old and is a final-year student at the Faculty of Medicine - Beni Suef University.
