He was arrested on 27/07/2015 in front of the Research Institute in Al-Darassa in Cairo and was forcibly disappeared for a period during which he was tortured physically and psychologically. He was sentenced to three years in prison on November 28, 2018, and therefore he had already completed his prison term. He was deported to the Tenth of Ramadan Police Department for his release, but this has not been implemented and he was subjected to enforced disappearance until he appeared in the prosecution on February 18, 2019
