The victim was arrested on November 25, 2018. According to his family, he was on his way to take an exam at the college on November 25, 2018. After finishing the exam at around 12:00 noon, he headed to the university gate to leave. He was stopped by university security who asked him about his ID card and then let him go. According to the testimony of one of his colleagues, “He left the university and disappeared completely since then and no news of him has been heard from.”

The victim is 27 years old, and is a student at the Faculty of Engineering, Al-Azhar University, Cairo Branch. His family took legal action, sent telegrams to the relevant authorities, filed a report with the Public Prosecution, and inquired about him at the Nasr City First and Second Police Department more than once, while all parties denied knowing where he was being held.
