The victim was arrested on July 22, 2024 from his home in Giza Governorate, and was subjected to enforced disappearance for two days.

The victim was presented to the Supreme State Security Prosecution on July 24, 2024, and was investigated in connection with Case No. 1968 of 2024, and charges were brought: joining a terrorist group, spreading false news and data, and misusing social media.

The victim works as a journalist and cartoonist on the Al-Manassa website.
