The Egyptian security authorities kidnapped "Alfred Camus" from his home and in front of his wife, on May 15, and took him to an unknown destination. Mr. Alfred is a Chadian refugee residing in Egypt, and a leader in the refugee communities, and a director of the African Refugees Initiative in Cairo.
On May 24, 2023, the Chadian citizen, Alfred Camus, announced his arrival in Rwanda after his deportation from Egypt, and he stated that he has been accused on Case No. 4934 of 2023, on charges of not possessing a residence permit or asylum to stay in Egypt.
