The victim was arrested on April 10, 2015, and was investigated and detained in connection with a number of cases of a political nature. He has not yet been released.

The victim, a 26-year-old man from Sharkia Governorate, who was detained in the 10th of Ramadan Prison for Men, attempted suicide inside his prison cell to escape the conditions of detention and rotation for years.

The victim was initially sentenced to 3 years in prison and served his sentence. Then he was transferred to a new case in 2018, in which he was sentenced to two years in prison. After the end of his prison term, he was transferred to another new case in 2020, in which he was sentenced to two years in prison. After the end of his sentence, he was transferred to a new case for the third time, and he is in pretrial detention.
