The victim was arrested on September 20, 2016, at the time he was 20 years old, and he was interrogated in connection with a number of cases for which he was recycled, until the North Cairo Criminal Court decided, in its session held on June 20, 2023, to release the victim, Ali Mahran, on bail. 20,000 pounds, after nearly 7 years of pretrial detention.

In the last case, No. 7394 of 2023, the Marj misdemeanor, the victim was accused of joining the banned Brotherhood and possessing leaflets, which is the fourth case he has been charged with since his arrest in 2016.

Amr was dismissed from the Faculty of Sharia and Law at Al-Azhar University due to imprisonment, but he completed his studies inside prison until he obtained a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration.

Update: The victim was recycled again pending Case No. 9327 of 2023, a third administrative officer in Nasr City, after a decision to release him was issued on June 20, 2023. In the case, he faces charges of joining a terrorist group and possession of publications. The Public Prosecution is appealing the decision.
