Citizen Aida Mahmoud Omar Othman, 45, was arrested on April 28, 2023 at 2:00 am from her home, coinciding with the start of the national dialogue. She is a divorcee and mother of two children. She was presented to the Supreme State Security Prosecution without evidence after her Facebook posts were emptied. The Public Prosecution accused her of joining a group that violates the law, and ordered her detention for 15 days pending case 710/2023, and she was transferred to Al-Qanater Al-Khairiya Prison.
