- Summary
The victim was arrested from his home on November 6, 2022, after writing several posts on Facebook commenting on political and economic events. He was forcibly disappeared until he was interrogated on November 20, two weeks after the actual date of his arrest. His family says that he was tortured and harassed during his transfer. From Badr 1 to Badr 3 prison, he appeared in the subsequent detention renewal session barefoot and with a shaved head. Orabi informed the court of his transfer to the Correction and Rehabilitation Center in Badr 3 prison last month as a form of punishment, due to his objection to the ill-treatment he received from one of the conscripts in his previous prison in Badr 1 prison.
Orabi lost his left eye in the events of Mohamed Mahmoud Street in 2011, but this did not prevent his re-arrest, and he is currently subjected to deliberate medical neglect inside the prison, as the prison administration had previously refused to show him to an orthopedist and a neurologist, although the prosecution had stated He referred him to the doctor, but the prison administration ignored the decision of the prosecution.
