The victim was arrested at the end of January 2025 from Cairo Airport while on her way to travel to perform Umrah.

She was forcibly disappeared for two days before she appeared at the Supreme State Security Prosecution and was investigated in connection with a case carrying charges of a political nature.

The victim, the wife of the detainee, Abdel Rahman Dabi, was sentenced to life imprisonment after charges were brought against him related to the case known as the “Giza Terrorist Cell.”
