The victim, a student, was arrested at dawn on Thursday, May 9, 2024, and was taken to an unknown destination, until he was interrogated on May 13, 2024 before the Supreme State Security Prosecution in connection with Case No. 1941 of 2024.
According to human rights sources, the victim was arrested because of posts on social media in solidarity with the State of Palestine against the Israeli occupation.
The prosecution charged the victim with joining a group established in violation of the law, spreading false news, and misusing social media, and ordered him detained for 15 days pending investigation.
