On 18 August 2021, the Government transmitted information concerning six cases, but the information was considered insufficient to clarify the cases. Observation 78. As outlined in article 13 of the Declaration on the Protection of All Persons from Enforced Disappearance, the Working Group requests the Laotian authorities to initiate ex officio, impartial, independent and effective investigations whenever there are reasonable grounds to believe that an enforced disappearance has been committed. It also requests the authorities to initiate searches for the disappeared or their remains in accordance with their humanitarian obligations. Libya Clarification based on information from sources 79. On the basis of information provided by sources, the Working Group decided to clarify the case of Omar Al Mokhtar Ahmed Al Daguel, who is reportedly in detention in a known location. The case was initially transmitted to the Libyan National Army. 28 Joint urgent appeal 80. On 2 July 2021, the Working Group transmitted, jointly with other special procedure mechanisms, an allegation letter concerning the abduction and potential enforced disappearance of human rights defender Mansour Mohamed Atti Al-Maghrabi.29 Malaysia Information from the Government 81. On 3 August 2021, the Government transmitted information concerning three cases, but the information was considered insufficient to clarify the cases. Maldives Information from the Government 82. On 2 September 2021, the Government transmitted information concerning a case, but the information was considered insufficient to clarify the case. Mexico Information from sources 83.
