On 3 September 2021, the Working Group transmitted, jointly with other special procedure mechanisms, an allegation letter concerning the the ongoing arbitrary detention and alleged ill-treatment of Oqaba Alaa Labib Hashad and Mohamed Ibrahim Radwan.20 Observation 53. The Working again noted discrepancies between some of the information provided by the Government and that provided by other sources. In one case, while the Government reported that there was no trace of the arrest of a particular individual, other sources indicated that the alleged victim of an enforced disappearance had reappeared in detention. The Working Group notes that such discrepancies put into question the accuracy of prison registries and the exercise of detainees’ right to due process. El Salvador Information from sources 54. Sources provided information on two outstanding cases, but it was considered insufficient to clarify the cases. Joint allegation letter 55. On 10 June 2021, the Working Group transmitted, jointly with other special procedure mechanisms, an allegation letter concerning the discovery of clandestine burials involving the remains of at least 14 people in the home of a former agent of the National Civil Police. 21 Eritrea Joint allegation letter 56. On 9 June 2021, the Working Group transmitted, jointly with other special procedure mechanisms, an allegation letter concerning the alleged long-term arbitrary detention of human rights defender Dawit Isaak.22 Honduras Information from the Government 57. On 6 August 2021, the Government transmitted information concerning 123 cases, but it was considered insufficient to clarify the cases. 58.
