Under its standard procedure, the Working Group transmitted three cases to the Government concerning: (a) A 9-year-old girl who was allegedly abducted in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on 21 November 2002, by a marine officer; (b) A 9-year-old girl who was allegedly abducted in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on 22 December 2002, by a marine officer; (c) An 11-year-old girl who was allegedly abducted in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on 31 January 2008, by a marine officer. Cameroon Information from sources 24. Sources provided information on one outstanding case, but the information was considered insufficient to clarify the case. Clarification based on information from sources 25. On the basis of information provided by sources, the Working Group decided to clarify two cases, one concerning Ernest Tikum Dinga and one concerning Ngoe Ernest Mofa, both of whom were released from detention. China Standard procedure 26. Under its standard procedure, the Working Group transmitted two cases to the Government concerning: (a) Thupten Lobsang Lhundup, a national of China of Tibetan ethnicity who was allegedly arrested in June 2019 from his home in Chengdu city, Sichuan Province, by Public Security Bureau officers; (b) Sadir Ali, a national of China of Uighur ethnicity who was allegedly arrested on 29 June 2018 at his house in Atushishi, Xinjiang Uighur Autonomous Region, by Kashgar city police personnel. Information from sources 27. Sources provided information on one outstanding case, but the information was considered insufficient to clarify the case. Joint allegation letters and replies 28. On 10 June 2021, the Working Group transmitted, jointly with other special procedure mechanisms, an allegation letter concerning the alleged forced organ harvesting targeting ethnic, religious or linguistic minorities such as Falun Gong practitioners, Uighurs, Tibetans, Muslims and Christians in detention.10 29. On 16 July 2021, the Working Group transmitted, jointly with other special procedure mechanisms, an allegation letter concerning the alleged arbitrary detention and enforced disappearance of two Tibetan Buddhists, Go Sherab Gyatso and Rinchen Tsultrim.11 10 11 See CHN 5/2021.
