Lawyer “Mohamed El-Sherbiny Ali El-Sayed”, 58 years old - from the village of Al-Ahmadiyya in the Sherbin Center in Dakahlia Governorate, and a resident of Hadayek Al-Qubba in Cairo Governorate - for more than two years.
He was subjected to enforced disappearance, after which he appeared at the Supreme State Security Prosecution.
He was accused of joining a banned group and promoting its activities, and the Supreme State Security Prosecution decided to detain him for 15 days pending Case No. 58 of 2020, Supreme State Security Prosecution.
He was imprisoned on the 10th of Ramadan, and during his imprisonment he was subjected to medical negligence and medical relapses, including cancer and herniated discs.
His family was prohibited from bringing medicines during visits, based on a decision from the prison administration.
He was transferred to Badr Prison to be detained at Badr Prison Hospital for further medical examinations.
He died inside his confinement in Badr Prison Hospital on January 6, 2024. He had been transferred to the hospital for a medical examination due to cartilage problems and he was also suffering from cancer.
