He was arrested on 3 October 2016 near his home. He was subjected to enforced disappearance until October 24, and during that period he suffered from psychological and physical torture and electrocution. He appeared at the State Security Prosecution in case 810 of 2019. He was acquitted on October 13, 2019, but was rotated after being subjected to enforced disappearance again for 4 months. He is still being held in pretrial detention in Tora Istikbal Prison. It is reported that he was arrested twice before in 2013 and 2015 and was released on bail.
