The victim is a journalist and blogger. He was arrested for the first time on April 6, 2018. He was interrogated in Case No. 621 of 2018 on charges of joining a terrorist group and spreading false news and statements. The Criminal Court decided in the session of July 22, 2019 to replace the precautionary detention with a precautionary measure. According to him, he had to go to the police station twice a week, and on September 21 of the year 2019, the security forces arrested Muhammad Ibrahim again when he appeared at the Basateen Police Station in compliance with the precautionary measures, and he remained in hiding until he appeared on October 8, 2019 inside the Supreme State Security Prosecution, He was included in Case No. 1356 of 2019, and a criminal court decision was issued on November 3, 2020 to replace the precautionary detention with a precautionary measure, then he was transferred pending Case No. 855 of 2020, and the case included the activist Alaa Abdel-Fattah and the human rights lawyer Muhammad Al-Baqer, and he was tried On December 20, 2021, the court ruled that the political activist Alaa Abdel-Fattah be imprisoned for 5 years, and also sentenced Muhammad al-Baqer and Muhammad Oxygen to 4 years in prison, and in August of the year 2021, human rights sources said that the victim attempted suicide in Tora maximum security prison, because of what He is subjected to abuse and violations, and his life was saved in the last moments.
